The word “Diwali” means an arrangement or a row of lights. Traditionally, Diwali is celebrated on the darkest night of the year when the necessity and the beauty of lights can be truly appreciated. Light is a symbol of God, Truth and Wisdom. The lamps are lit to help Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity, find her way into people’s homes.
Diwali was celebrated at Step Up School with full zest, zeal, spirit and enthusiasm.
The tiny tots of Nursery & KG shook their legs to a dance number and extended DIWALI wishes to their peers, teachers and helping staff of the school. Grade Prep students presented a melodious poem conveying the celebrations and customs of the festival of lights. They also created a lantern to beautify their house this Diwali.
The smiling faces of the students of Grades I to V spread the joy of the festival through their dance performance.Their happiness knew no bounds when they embellished a beautiful diya for their home. The art of “alpana” also brightened up the festive mood.
Hearty Diwali Wishes from STEP UP SCHOOL FAMILY!
